Junior Teams
We run the following competitive junior teams:
Year 5 x2 teams
Year 6 x2 teams
Year 7 x2 teams
Year 8 x2 teams
Year 9 x2 teams
In the following leagues:
- Garden City Junior League, Stanborough School, Welwyn Garden City (Sunday mornings)
- Broxbourne District Junior League, Broxbourne School (every second Saturday)
- Sisters & Sports Cup Competitions (home and away fixtures)
Our first teams play in Division 1 or play up a year group, our second teams play in Division 1 or 2.
Our U14 Regional Team plays in the U14 Prem division.
East Regional Youth League
We also enter Year 9s and Year 11s into the East Regional Youth League.
Junior Registration
Matches are played as Home or Away fixtures. This season our U14s will play in Division 1 and our U16s will play in Division 2 of the ERYL.
The club mascot - Dyno - accompanies the girls to the regional fixtures.
We believe girls learn a great deal from playing in testing matches and against different players/teams. These fixtures, and the Sisters and Sport fixtures, give our girls the opportunity to test their skills against teams and styles across the country. The more successful the team, the further away the matches will be.
Year 10 Up
From Year 10, our Herts Dynamos players feed through to Herts Hornets Seniors where they will play in a Seniors Team and Senior Leagues.
This is a transition from Junior to Senior netball and one that girls are definitely ready for by Year 10. Hornets is a Performance Club with teams in local leagues and also the top two divisions of Herts County and East Regional League (Open Age category).
Once they turn 14, our Year 9 girls are invited to play senior matches to help with this transition.
